EQUIPMENT:
The main feature of the automatic cutting parameters is that this saw adapts the cutting pressure to the shape of the material. For example, in case of a round bar, the machine begins the cut at a certain speed, which is dictated by the control software and depends on the diameter and the type of material to cut. Then, as the blade gets closer to the middle of the bar, the speed is gradually reduced; after passing that point the cutting pressure increases again until completing the cut. At this stage all vices can be enabled to move in opposite directions, so that the blade doesn't touch the material while lifting: this feature allows to use hard metal blades in addition to the common bi-metal ones. The cutting time is up to 30% lower compared to a traditional bandsaw. After changing the blade, the machine carries out automatically the run-in, which guarantees a longer life of it. The trim cut is automatic and the scrap of the bar is almost non-existing, since both jaws clamp the material. This machine is equipped with a motorized chip suction plant and a blade position control (if the blade moves out of its normal position, its speed of penetration in the material automatically decreases, so as to get always perfectly perpendicular cuts. Besides, the blade is going to be used until the end of its life). The structure of the machine is comprised of electrowelded steel; the blade is hydraulically tensioned and is equal to 2.500 kg/cm²; this tension is also controlled by a software. The saw is normally equipped with blades of 54 mm height; on request 41 mm blades are available. The hard metal blade-driving pads are hydraulically kept in contact with the blade, so as to guarantee an ideal and consistent contact area.
